Nagoya International School Phase1 Reconstruction

Nagoya International School Phase1 Reconstruction

Nagoya, Aichi 2004
Total Area: 2,720m2, New Construction + Interior Renovation

Designed in the early 1960s by the famous architect Antonin Raymond (Frank Lloyd Wright's architect-in-charge of the 1920s Imperial Hotel project in Tokyo), after 40 years NIS needed a major upgrade requiring complete re-design of the interior classroom configuration and related spaces, as well as new offices for the school administration. In the new design every effort was made to preserve the character of Raymond's original building.
